Farhana Ahamed

Wa Thun Oo (Farhana Ahamed) was born in Yangon, Myanmar, and migrated to Malaysia in 2006 when her father pursued his PhD studies. Due to the escalating situation in Myanmar, her family later decided to remain in Malaysia permanently.

She is a first-generation graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Technology and is also a home-based bakery business owner. She is passionate about using her pharmaceutical knowledge to promote healthcare equity and develop solutions that benefit the Rohingya community.

Expertise: Pharmaceutical sciences, public health data, healthcare access and equity for underserved communities.
